What If Your Mom or Sister or Daughter Needed Help?

At Roots, we are working to decrease the number of women suffering from homelessness and poverty, and reduce the number of children entering the foster care system by keeping families together. By providing a comprehensive life skills program and personalized peer-to-peer supervision, and building an overall healthy foundation for future progress, we see amazing results in the success of the women we serve.

Peer Support

Roots helps women at all stages rebuild. Every woman’s journey is unique, and each faces different challenges to stability and growth. We offer a structured framework that fosters emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development, empowering our residents and community members with a purpose and strength needed to thrive.

Education & Skills

Education and Job Skills provides not only the practical tools to thrive financially but also instills the confidence to meet life’s challenges with purpose and dignity. Whether it’s finishing a high school degree, getting a college education, or attending a technical school program, we meet each woman where she is and help her get to where she wants to be.

Our Mission

Roots is a supportive community where women—and women with children—can reconnect, rebuild, and recover from homelessness through peer support, life-skills programs, and community outreach, empowering them to grow and live independently.
Roots helps single mothers avoid the costs and trauma of homelessness and shelter placement by providing education, peer support, and community outreach that supports families in their homes.
